The Best Smart Home Apps for Ease of Use, Design and Control

Not all home apps are equal. Your app experience can make or break your selected smart home devices, such as a security camera or a smart bulb. The worst apps have a menu, lack of settings and even advertising is disastrous. The best apps are clean, fast and can only help you control your home tech with a few taps.

It is not always easy to know if the home app will be user -friendly or inconvenient until you start using it. I come to this place: I have experienced dozens of smart home apps during my own reviews of all major brands. These are my first choices that I really enjoyed, and why.

Plus blinking app (security camera)

The Emporia app offers many data from the power use graph to your smart plug to the power system schedules, peak use settings and depth setting for integration with its energy monitor. So it manages to keep the impressive Emporia app so clean and user -friendly, especially considering its high -speed setup that can use your existing Google or Apple accounts.

There is nothing more than a taps, and Emporia’s menu management makes it easy to understand where things are and what will feature. I have rarely seen that a mobile app makes things so clear.

Switch boot app (locks, sensors, indoor bulls etc.)

Its app has always been pleasant to use, with an excellent review on the home screen that collects a device and ordinary home information, which makes it feel like a real home center compared to most apps.

Apple Home App (wide platform device management)

Apps like Apple Home or Google Home allow you to unite a range of smart home devices under the same roof – which means it should have a good roof. One of my favorite Apple Home app for sheer simplicity. Her home screen is easy and very clean, an excellent choice for people who are anxious if there are a lot of buttons. The distribution between categories and rooms, which grows by adding your devices, is an intuitive way to manage your tech.

Of course, not everything works with Apple Home and not all of its features are available through Apple Home, so there are some concessions for this simple approach. However, one of the big home platform apps like Google Home or Alexa, Apple’s version is my favorite and takes the lead in additional speed device management.
